Notes

Rossall School is just South of Fleetwood, North of Blackpool, and set next to the beach along the Fylde Coast with views of the Lake District and Blackpool Tower on a clear day, depending upon which way you look. The school is 160 years old and the main square provides a lovely setting for a wedding. Elisabeth has special memories of her time at Rossall where she completed her A Levels and is very pleased that it has been possible to get married in St John's Chapel, where she spent plenty of time as a member of the choir.

There were plenty of talented musicians taking part in the wedding ceremony. A very big thank you to Professor Colin Parsons (with many degrees and diplomas after his name) who was our organist, for his never-ending enthusiasm, support and friendship! The Royal Signals (Northern) Band provided a wonderful five piece band which really added to the quality of the service and provided a fantatsic trumpet fanfare at the beginning of the service. Mrs Marylin Parsons, Miss Lucy Knowles, Mrs Caroline Stokes, Mrs Bernadette Barraclough, Dr Simon Rendell and Mr James Kazi wowed everyone with their singing and received endless compliments.

Thank you to everyone for singing with gusto and not letting us down on the hymn singing! A few of you particularly liked the lesser known second hymn 'How Shall I Sing That Majesty', so we have left the link below for you!

How Shall I Sing That Majesty

Dress - thank you for all looking stunning!

We are particularly pleased that our prayers were answered and that we had a wonderful blue sky and sunshine for the wedding - given the weather in the morning we have to excuse the wind!
